Christianity Made Simple: Beyond the Walls of the Church

By Tunde David Animashaun Many people today see Christianity as a difficult and complicated journey, often defined by how many hours one spends in a church building or how materially blessed they appear to be. But true Christianity, according to Scripture, is not about outward show—it is about the inward life of selflessness, moral uprightness, and spiritual connection with God through Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:22–23 that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” These qualities—not wealth, status, or church attendance records—are the true measure of Christian living. Christianity Is About Relationship, Not Religion At its core, Christianity is about being reconciled to God through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18–19). This relationship naturally flows into how we treat others—walking in empathy, humility, and selflessness. Jesus Himself summarized it in Matthew 22:37–39: “Love the Lo...

Where Is Your Money Really Going? A Hard Look at Nigerian Churches

Image
By Tunde David Animashaun Nigeria has a paradox few dare to admit: four of the world’s richest pastors come from our communities, yet none of our churches make the global top ten list in terms of wealth as institutions. What does that say about the flow of our resources? The Wealthiest Pastors, and the Empty Pews These familiar names resonate across the country—not only for their sermons, but for their staggering personal fortunes: David Oyedepo (Winners’ Chapel) boasts hundreds of millions in assets—universities, mega auditoriums, real estate, and private jets. Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy) runs a sprawling media empire, record labels, apps, real estate, and multiple jets. T.B. Joshua, before his passing, owned vast assets and secured a large global following. Ayo Oritsejafor (Word of Life Bible Church, Warri) stands among them—estimated net worth around $30 million...

Treatment of African Footballers in Serie A: A Disgrace Hiding in Plain Sight 🇮🇹⚽️🌍  By Tunde David Animashaun Over the past few years, we have witnessed a deeply troubling pattern in Italian football — a league that prides itself on prestige, yet continues to show disregard for the very African talents who keep its flame burning. Let’s talk about it. Loudly. Clearly. And with evidence. 📸 Victor Osimhen – Napoli 🇳🇬 After gifting Napoli their first Scudetto in 33 years, Osimhen was humiliated — not by rivals, but by his own club. Napoli’s official TikTok page mocked him over a missed penalty in a tasteless, racially insensitive video. Instead of being honoured as a hero, Osimhen was vilified, lowballed with contract negotiations, and eventually pushed toward the exit door. Thankfully, he’s landed at Galatasaray, where he’s already being celebrated for who he is: a top striker and a world-class professional. 📸 Ademola Lookman – Atalanta 🇳🇬 After a hat-trick in the Europa Le...
